You are invited to take part in a research study conducted by researchers at the University of Windsor. The purpose of this study is to investigate the reasons why individuals choose to use computer-mediated communication (CMC) tools. Computer-mediated communication (CMC) tools are those tools that allow you to communicate with other individuals via the Internet. Examples include Facebook, World of Warcraft, MSN Messenger, and cell phone texting. If you choose to participate, you will be asked to complete several questionnaires that ask questions about your basic demographic information, your reasons for using CMC tools, and some personality characteristics. This study is open to anyone who uses any of the identified CMC tools. This study is completed in an online format. Please note that the measures should be completed in one session.  You will not be provided any compensation for your participation. Your responses will be kept completely confidential.
